Horse Show For Charity

The 29th Annual Charity Horse Show benefiting Youth Town will be held Saturday, July 9, 2016, at 6 p.m. in Pugh Bourne Park, 343 Oakfield Road, rain or shine. This year’s theme is “Kicking Addiction.”
About 1,500 people attend the event each year. Admission is free and includes pony rides and a petting zoo that features miniature animals. Knights of Columbus will provide concessions. Horses and riders from across the country participate in the charity horse show, according to organizers. Event chairperson Cynthia Wright said the community has been essential in making the show successful.
“It takes the support of an entire community to build a Youth Town that can serve the needs of our young adults,” Wright said.
Youth Town is an accredited residential treatment center for substance dependence. A nonprofit, Youth Town’s goal is to provide irreversible life change for young men and women through Christ-centered and adventure-based experiences.
